Shiri Doron
Interdisciplinary Artist and Creator.
Lecturer in the field of Art, Art Education and Digital Culture.
Born 1968, Israel. Lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Head of the Art Major at Kalai High School, which she founded in 1998.
Artist Statement
I am a painter specializing in realistic oil painting, dedicated to capturing the beauty of nature on unconventional surfaces such as building boards, metal, cardboard boxes, and more. My use of still photography and video serves as an extension of my engagement with reality, expanding the narrative of my work.
I actively seek out unconventional surfaces to present my art beyond traditional galleries and museums, fostering interaction with new audiences and artists from various disciplines. Through the diverse projects I’ve done with fellow artists and students, I have had the wonderful opportunity to explore new fields of creative expression.
